The 2026 Pirates 21K will take place on Sunday, 15 February 2026, starting at 06h00 from the Pirates Club, 25 Braeside Road, Greenside, Johannesburg, Gauteng. The race covers the standard half-marathon distance of 21.1km. Powered by Medshield and proudly known as Joburg’s Toughest Half, the Pirates 21K has become a must-run event on the Gauteng athletics calendar.
More than 4,000 runners will tackle the iconic “Over The Mountain” route, including the legendary climb over Northcliff Hill, competing for bragging rights, a finisher’s medal, and exclusive event t-shirts and goody bags for the first 2,000 entrants.
